Luther G. Person, M.D. received his Bachelor’s degree from Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. He graduated from The University of Michigan Medical School. He was a member of the US Air Force and completed his surgery internship and diagnostic radiology residency at David Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB CA. He was selected Chief Resident. He was stationed at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, Alaska to finish his commitment.

Prior to joining Upstate Carolina Radiology, he spent 13 years at Rutherford Regional Hospital in Rutherfordton, NC where he served as Department Chief and was on the Hospital Board for many years.

Dr. Person is board certified by the American Board of Radiology.
